A STAR IS BORN (O-RVZ MOVIE REVIEW)

A Star Is Born is a romantic musical drama movie which stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. This is directed by Bradley Cooper for his directorial debut and is the 4th remake from the original film of the same name in 1937. The story follows of a seasoned musician named "Jackson Maine" played by Cooper who falls in love with a young talented girl singer named Ally played by Gaga. I definitely loved this movie! Not only this movie delivered some of the best soundtracks, but we also get to see Lady Gaga in her first major film debut as a lead which she absolutely killed it. She's super talented and so natural with her performances. We've known Lady Gaga for so long because of her singing chops but she's also talented on screen. I won't be surprised if she gets nominated by next year's Oscar because she was just so good. Paired with the talented Bradley Cooper, they were just a powerhouse oozing with some of the amazing performances this year. We all know how talented Bradley is but Lady Gaga really did surprise me. Also, the soundtracks from this movie which are "Shallow" and "Maybe It's Time". They were one of my favorite songs from it. If you think "The Greatest Showman" has the best songs, wait till you hear all of the songs from this movie. They were so beautiful packed with full emotions. I also loved the storyline of it. Bradley's direction helped this movie a lot. It's beautiful and sad at the same time. They also tackled this specific sensitive important theme which is timely at our current age. I won't delve into it to avoid spoilers but this is the reason why it was so sad. That ending. That last song. I couldn't help it but get teary-eyed from it. My only gripe of this movie are the dialogues. I couldn't understand some of it due to their deep mumbling voice, but it's not a problem. I will just wait for a digital release with subtitles and have myself soaked again with sadness and tears.

OVERALL

A STAR IS BORN is by far the most beautiful and most emotional movie that I have ever seen this year. This movie is deserving to be nominated as one of the Oscar's Best Picture nominee this year. You could also fill in the other big awards such as Best Actor, Actress, Director, and Song because this movie was so good on so many levels. This movie really moved my heart. It was just damn beautiful and so damn emotional.
