So this is it, WE'RE IN THE ENDGAME NOW ! AVENGERS: ENDGAME is the 22 film of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie series called "The Infinity Saga" and will served as the culmination of all the MCU films released for these past 10 years starting from the first IRONMAN movie. Ever since they released the AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, I was really excited and at the same time worried on how could they deliver an equally awesome movie after Infinity War. For the first time in the whole MCU, the events after Infinity War was downright shocking, depressed and the villain THANOS really defeated our heroes and also successfully decimated half of them including the heavy hitters Spiderman, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and many more. Thankfully, AVENGERS: ENDGAME blew my mind and it really exceeded my expectation. I watched the film 3 times already in the Big Screen and after each viewing, it is always the same feeling that I got, Enjoyment, Sadness, Fulfillment and Closure. Here's my full in depth spoilers-filled review of the movie AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

The first hour of the film is what I called the breather part. This is the part where we get to take a deep breathe and fully accept that our heroes have been defeated by Thanos. We see them trying to move on after half of the human population got vanished. The movie started with Clint Barton, aka, Hawkeye having a picnic with his family and also him teaching her eldest daughter Lila Barton shooting an arrow. You know for sure things are going to end up badly as a few moments later on, all of his family got vanished into thin air which was the result of the Thanos' Snap. This particular bit is a set-up to what will be the overall tone of the film and foreshadowing to Hawkeye's transition into Ronin later on the film.

The next scene then shifts to our main boy Tony Stark, aka Ironman with Nebula being trapped from space inside the Benatar ship. Last time we saw them two was right after Thanos defeated them on Titan from AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and them witnessing all of their other comrades getting dusted due to the snap. I was really amazed by Marvel cause they really didn't show Tony's health condition on the first trailer of the film. I know for a fact that being trapped in a space with no food could really deteriorate your health but I really like that they keep that for the movie and then when I saw this Tony so skinny for the first time and so miserable, it somehow moved me and this moment really added an emotional impact to the film. When Tony got rested, we then see a glimpse of light glowing on his face and then boom, Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers appeared and lifted the Benatar ship back to the main Avengers HQ on Earth.

This is the first time that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, got reunited after their heavy fall-out from the CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR movie. I thought that we are going to see some happy reunion from these two but then Tony raged and reminded Steve about his dark version from the AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and the reason why he wants to secretly created a suit of armor including ULTRON was to have some kind of protection on Earth in case invasion such as this happens, they will have a first defense mechanism towards it. But at that time Steve, being an honorable man didn't like the idea of Tony keeping it a secret and not being shared towards the team and tells him that they should have discussed it first with the team and after Tony told Steve that they will lose together, Steve replied, "Then, we'll lose together" which they did after Infinity War. I really liked this part because not only it was a beautiful call back from the previous AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON movie but also it showed the 2 very different ideology between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers and it's difficult to choose which of them was right. Only this time, Tony Stark was more into the right direction because they could have some added protection from Thanos if only ULTRON didn't turn out a bad guy and it was successfully deployed without any issues.

After the team successfully tracked Thanos' whereabouts, the remaining surviving heroes of the Avengers (except for Tony) heads to that planet called the Garden and to try and take the Infinity Gauntlet with the 6 Infinity Stones intact to undo the snap. We then see a Farmer Thanos picking-up fruits from his farm and then we see how weak and injured he was become due to the snap. This was a shocking moment for us to find out that all of the six stones have been destroyed by Thanos when he snapped the gauntlet for the second time to destroy it. It was a shocking revelation because not only the stones have been destroyed and the Avengers don't have any means of undoing the snap but also, due to Thor's unstable emotions (just like what Peter Quill did when he found out about Gamora's death that sabotages their plan), he quickly decapitated Thanos using his Stormbreaker. Thanos said to him during the Infinity War that he should have aimed to his head which kind off puts a guilt to him because if he would have aimed to his head first, then Thanos would not have successfully snapped his finger and the decimation would not have happened. From this moment, I was really surprised about the story development as early from the film and at the same time, this question keeps popping on my head, Who will be the main villain of the film?
The scene proceeded to a time jump showing "Five Years Later" and we then see the world slowly moving on from the decimation. We see Steve Rogers in a therapy group discussion and Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, getting updates from the other members of the Avengers. We didn't get to see Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man from Infinity War as he was trapped in a Quantum Realm during the events of the ANT-MAN AND THE WASP movie. It might sound dumb at first that only a rat was able to release Ant-Man from the Quantum Realm but it kinda made sense since the vehicle got locked-up into a storage and it's been 5 years that the vehicle got locked-up in there and you know lucky instances such as this is bound to happen. 5 years was still a long time and I think it's acceptable enough that eventually, a chosen rat will be able to successfully configured the buttons (accidentally) and release Scott Lang from the Quantum Realm. This particular moment sets-up the important key point from this film's plot and it's about the usage of Quantum Realm for a possibility of Time-Travelling. It was hinted before from ANT-MAN AND THE WASP by Janet Van Dyne, aka The Original Wasp, that time moves very differently in the Quantum Realm and there is this Time Vortex, if not careful enough, you'll be trapped to it in a different timeline. Scott Lang finds out about the demise and revisits his home to find out that his daughter Cassie Lang is all grown-up during the 5 year time jump. He then went to the Avengers HQ and this is where he suggested to Steve and Natasha about the Quantum Realm and the possible usage of Time-Travel to get back the six stones from the different timeline before Thanos gets them and use it to undo the snap created by him. I really like the addition of Scott Lang into this film because he added a bit of a lighter environment and provided more humor to the film amidst of the gloomy and sad environment that was caused by the snapped.
We then see Tony Stark, who seems to have moved on from the defeat of Thanos and then we see his very cute little daughter Morgan Stark. DAMN. Again, with this kind of character development that we then see from Tony and Pepper having their first daughter somehow foreshadowing Tony's death. He was then revisited by the team and explained to him about the possible Time-Travel to undo the snap of Thanos. At first, Tony was not having it since unlike Captain America, he has moved on from the snap and just wants to let it go and live his life with her daughter but we all know that Tony has never been the guy who easily moved on from his previous life which we also see during IRONMAN 3 when he was supposedly retired as Ironman then came back right after AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. Tony was able to cracked the Time-Travel problem and invented the Time-Travel GPS and heads down to the Avengers HQ to tell the team about the good news. It may sound a bit of a far-fetched that Tony easily solved the time-travel problems but we all know how genius Tony is. Remember, he was able to discovered a new element for his chest reactor during in IRONMAN 2 that stopped him from being poisoned. Also, we get to discover a huge changes to Dr. Bruce Banner character. It was hinted before during the first AVENGERS movie and THOR RAGNAROK that his alter ego, The Hulk, is able to spout a few words and talk like a human being. This time, we really get to see Hulk and Dr. Bruce Banner in one character with Bruce completely controlling Hulk's body while retaining his consciousness. Seeing him in a Hulk body talking like a normal person was really strange at first but you get to love it more because of how funny Bruce Banner was with his jokes and his comedic relationship towards the other members of the group.
Not only Hulk who has a very big changes to its character but this is also the first time we see Thor after the 5-year time jump. Thor, who's had the most tragic story ever since THOR: THE DARK WORLD, has now become a fat, lazy and bearded Thor who resembles the Dude from THE BIG LEBOWSKI movie. Some people might not really like the tragic changes to Thor's appearance or personality but for me, I think it was really beautiful and fitting to its character progression. It's not something that Marvel has put just to provide laughs of being this emotional unstable or being fat but rather it's about the journey of Thor that he has to undergo and overcome his fear of being this failure. You have to remember that Thor at first is being portrayed as this perfect being with God-like statures and with this kind of character progression, it adds a bit of human to him and because of this we relate to his character more now. He has witnessed all of the deaths from his family members starting from his mother's death (Frigga who died on THOR: THE DARK WORLD and killed by one of the dark elf) , father's death (Odin died on THOR: RAGNAROK), his bestfriend's death (Heimdall died on AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR killed by Thanos), and even both of his step-siblings (Loki died on AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR killed by Thanos and Hela died on THOR: RAGNAROK). So yeah, he's been very emotional ever since his Journey has started but we never get to witness his emotional breakdown from it. And to add things up, because of him missing Thanos' head, Thanos successfully snapped his finger which added more casualty and added more guilt to him which was too much for him to bear. You may not like it because maybe Marvel made Thor a joke now but to me, it's a very good character development that is consistent all through-out the Marvel films which Thor has been involved in.

Before the old team got reunited, Black Widow went to Tokyo to get Hawkeye. She then discovered that Hawkeye is not the Hawkeye that she knew at all. He became this guy full of hatred and despair that just want to kill any of the bad guys he encountered. He has completely transformed into Ronin right after his family's death due to the snap. It added a layer to his character which would again come to play during the latter part of the film. She recruited him back to the fold hoping to get a chance of reverting the snap.
After the old team has been reunited for One Last Mission, the moment when they're having this big group brainstorm to know the years of which stones they're going to get, it delivered some of the funny and humorous jokes from the film. We never really get to see more Ant-Man from Infinity War but boy they did really fully utilized his character in Endgame. The moment when they're having a discussion about Time-Travel rules when Rhodey Rhodes suggested to travel back in time and kill baby Thanos, that was just comedic gold and was hilarious as hell. I never really understood what they had discussed about the Time-Travel rules from my first viewing but the second time I watched it, it all made sense. All these movies that explained how time travel rules in which if you kill your past, the future you will also be killed. In this movie, their logic on Time-Travel was different and they really explained it well. It made sense that the present you doesn't have any effect to the past and the past you doesn't have any effect to your present since they are on a different timeline. It was well thought-out and let's just say that this logic made more sense than the Time-Travel logic from past movies that we see.
The second hour of the film was starting to be a bit interesting now since it is the first time the Marvel Cinematic Universe has explored time-travel and once the team are now complete and has started now with their individual missions, it was the dopiest, craziest, mind-boggling experienced that I ever had from the entire MCU series. We're gonna discuss every MCU timelines that they revisited.
THE BATTLE OF NEW YORK (FROM THE FIRST AVENGERS MOVIE RELEASED IN 2012)

This timeline 2014 contained the 3 Infinity Stones at one point. We have the Mind Stone, located on Loki's scepter which he used from the movie to control the minds of the other people to do his bidding. The second Infinity Stone is the Space Stone, aka The Cosmic Cube/Tessaract, it was a key device plot from the movie which was stolen by Loki for him to open up a portal for Thanos' soldiers to enter Earth. The third Infinity Stone is the Time Stone which was introduced first on DOCTOR STRANGE. The Sanctum Sanctorum or the place which the Ancient One resides is located on New York. They put another layer on this during the Battle of New York that the Ancient One also helped secretly killing the Chitauri soldiers. They explained it perfectly why we didn't see the Ancient One during the first Avengers movie is that they have established that the only goal for the Sorcerer Supreme was to protect only the stone. It was mentioned by Doctor Strange from Infinity War to Tony Stark that he would only protect the stone. It was quite a shocking development that he surrendered the stone to Thanos to save Tony's life and before that we all knew that Doctor Strange had already sweep the future outcomes and he did see 1 outcome in which Tony will be the key for their victory thus he has to spare his life by surrendering the Time Stone.

It was really a surreal moment to relive the events from the first AVENGERS movie and also provided a bit of a continuation on some scenes that we did not see on screen from the first Avengers movie. Not only that, they also incorporated other callbacks from other movies as well. One scene in which the present Captain America went into an elevator filled with Hydra Agents including Brock Rumlow, aka Crossbones, and Agent Sitwell. This particular scene is a direct callback from the movie CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. This elevator scene from that movie was hailed as one of the best action sequences and we all knew why because it was really well choreographed executed in a very closeted space. I was really expecting that they will redo that scene again with all the action stuffs but again, Marvel is good at keeping us surprise because we knew Captain America knew that these agents are all from Hydra. To avoid the fight, he told Agent Sitwell that he was tasked by Secretary Pierce (which is also from Hydra) to get the scepter and then whispered to Agent Sitwell's ears these 2 words, "HAIL HYDRA". This scene was so brilliantly played and it really connected well to the other movies that had already established this. It's also just a perfect moment for Steve to say those 2 words just so he could avoid the fight and easily get out from that situation and get the scepter. This is also a direct nod from the comics in which Captain America was a sleeper Agent in Hydra as well.
The team that was tasked to get the space stone were Tony Stark and Scott Lang. We never really see much interaction between these 2 characters during the Civil War movie but in Endgame, we get to see more of these interactions from them. From the moment Loki was defeated and was about to be transported to Asgard, Secretary Pierce (Yep, the Hydra leader we knew from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER) was about to take the Space Stone from the past Tony and past Thor but then was distracted when present Ant-Man pulled a plug from past Tony's chest reactor resulting into a convulsion. The present Ironman successfully managed to get the Space Stone when past Tony Stark dropped it and when present Tony Stark was about to enter the basement, boom there goes our past Hulk raging and destroying the basement's door resulting to present Tony Stark to fly away and drops the Space Stone. Loki grabbed this opportunity, got the stone and used it to teleport somewhere. There we go, Loki somehow lived but this is our past Loki from a different timeline. I'm guessing that the standalone Loki TV series will be focusing on his adventure after he got escaped and I'm guessing this will be the start in which Marvel will introduce to us the idea of Multiverse.
Since present Tony and Scott didn't successfully retrieve the Space Stone, they used their last Pym Particle to travel further back in time in the year of 1970 during the early days of SHIELD. This particular story added more to the relationship between Tony Stark and his father past and younger Howard Stark. We never really get to see these two interact with one another and it was hinted that during Civil War, their relationship wasn't really that good. So it was really heartwarming and beautiful to see that Tony was able to have a talk one last time to his father. Tony was able to retrieve the Space Stone since at that time, the cube was found by SHIELD and was kept on a storage from the SHIELD facility. On the other hand, Captain America was tasked to find the Pym Particle. At that time, a de-aged Henry Pym was working with SHIELD and have created Pym Particles which he used during his field mission as Ant-Man. He took those Pym Particles as their refuel and like Tony, he has this sad yet beautiful moment when he saw past Peggy Carter from another room but he wasn't able to talk to her just so he could not jeopardized his mission. It was really sad cause the last time we saw Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter together was when they were both working with SHIELD during the first CAPTAIN AMERICA: FIRST AVENGER movie and during their one-on-one battle with Red Skrull. Their ship was about to crashed but before it landed somewhere, Red Skull was teleported by the Space Stone and then we discover on Infinity War that he became the guide for the Soul Stone in Vormir. When the ship fully landed on a location filled with ice, his body got frozen for 70 years. To add a gut-punch from it, Steve owed Peggy a dance for their date and they have never saw each other again after that until CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER when Steve saw an older Peggy bed-ridden and died on CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Steve's story got to developed more from this moment and it's excruciating to know that Steve never really tasted a normal life.
PLANET MORAG (FROM THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY RELEASED IN 2014)

In this mission, we have Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine and Nebula tasked to find the Power Stone and Soul Stone. The Power Stone was in the planet Morag in which the past Star-Lord was trying to get it during the opening credits scene of the first GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY movie. War Machine knocked-off Star-Lord and him with Nebula goes into the temple and got the Power Stone. We also get to see again Gamora but the past version of it. One of the important moments from the film is that both past and present Nebula are made out of machine and somehow the memories from the present Nebula intertwined into the memories of past Nebula. . It was questionable for me at first but then I truly accepted it for the fact that Nebula is made out of machines and it made sense that their memory synapses got intertwined since it is made out of wires and stuffs. For sure you have asked who will be the main villain of this film since the present Thanos got quickly killed off then right after past Nebula starts to unveil the present recorded memory from the present Nebula, past Thanos saw this and he knew that future him was able to collect all 6 stones and was able to accomplished his life-long mission. Due to this, past Thanos and past Nebula used this moment to capture the present Nebula and instructed the past Nebula to go back in time using the time machine from the present Nebula and will be the reason why past Thanos and his huge army was able to go to the present time via past Nebula hacking on the time machine controls from the present time. I really like the set-up of this one having past Thanos to be the villain of the movie. Who would have thought of that really and as much as I want to have a new villain say Galactus or other God-like beings, Thanos is the fitting villain for this movie to end. AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR was all about Thanos and should only be the villain to further the story of AVENGERS: ENDGAME and I just liked how they set-up this so meticulously.
On the planet Vormir, Black Widow and Hawkeye was tasked to get the Soul Stone. You know for a fact that any of these 2 will die since in order to retrieve the Soul Stone, a soul will have to be offer from their closest ones and who would be the perfect pair to get it, yes, them two. These two have started as SHIELD agents and even hinted that Hawkeye helped Black Widow during her dark days. The Marvel directors and writers wants to tease you with your feelings pairing with them two and I was really hoping that both of them could survive because as the original six Avengers, I just want them to live. But no, they killed of Black Widow while Hawkeye got the Soul Stone in exchange. For me, i think Black Widow's story was early cut-off and I really want her to do more. It felt to me like her death was cheapen by the sudden death of her but yeah, they killed her. This part would have to be my least favorite from the film because, as much as I want Hawkeye to be reunited with his family, I wanted Black Widow to taste that victory at the end. She even was the leader of the Avengers at one point during the 5 year time-jump and for me, her story would have done more justice. Well, Hawkeye also volunteered as well to exchange his soul for the stone since we knew he's not the Hawkeye that we used to and he has killed a lot of people as well.
KINGDOM OF ASGARD (FROM THOR: THE DARK WORLD RELEASED IN 2013)

The last team that was tasked to take the Aether, aka, Reality Stone was none other than the Asgardians of the Galaxy, well, just the surviving members of them which are Thor and Rocket. The Aether was a major plot device from the film in and at one point from, Jane had consumed the Aether and became ill of it. They traveled back to this specific point in time to extract the Aether from Jane who at that time was ill. We get to see this beautiful reunion with Thor and her mother past Frigga, who was alive back then and was about to be killed on the same day from the movie. Before this, we also get a another glimpse of past Loki from when he was being imprisoned while present Thor quickly ran through the prison. It was a quick and funny scene. I also like this particular mission because it further's present Thor story arc specially on his current emotional stability. Frigga knew that present Thor was from the future of her timeline and she gave him some beautiful motivational advises that really helped present Thor a bit. It was a very nice callback admittedly from a not so good of a film of the second Thor franchise.
I really like the Time Heist part of the film because it provided some beautiful callbacks from these past few MCU movies that we have also seen from the big screen. The directors and writers perfectly executed it and seemingly connected it so smoothly. When I watched these Time Heist scenes, it was really quite surreal and it's mind-boggling for a reason because we have seen these films before and somehow, it's like a trip to memory lane of reliving again those movie moments from previous MCU films and also added more scenes to it.
Going back to the movie, the team was able to retrieve all the six stones but the team doesn't know that the Nebula who also came from the portal was the past version of it. While the team is busy extracting the stones, past Nebula went into the Time Machine controls and hacked the system letting the past Thanos along with his mothership with him escaped through the portal, damaging the roof of the Avengers Facility while it goes back to its original size. Meanwhile, the Avengers team has completely restructured the gauntlet using Stark technology and all of the six stones along with their power were completely harnessed. Hulk volunteered to be the one to use the gauntlet and snap it since Hulk is made out of Gamma and the power of the stones somehow released some gamma rays from it as hinted from the first AVENGERS movie. He survived the snap and was successfully able to bring back the people who got dusted while Hawkeye's phone was ringing showing Laura Barton (her wife) on it. The injured Hulk lay down due to its injury from the snap and before you know it, HELL rains down to all of the Avengers Facility as the past Thanos viciously attacks them with missiles and everything. The whole facility got leveled into piles of dusts and rubble while some of the Avengers survive the attack but was trapped at the lower level of it. Men, somehow I did not expect that attack to happen. They are really good with these timings and at that time, I was really focused about Hulk trying to snap back the dead and I almost forgot about past Thanos.
CLIMAX (THE MOST EPIC BATTLE SCENES THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN FROM A SUPERHERO COMIC MOVIE)
This is where the EPIC really happens. After all the destruction made by Thanos, we get this shot from the movie as the Original Trio (Ironman, Captain America and Thor) slowly facing off past Thanos. You knew that at this moment that an epic showdown is about to happen and it really delivered. The action sequences where off the charts and the movesets coming from Thor, Ironman and Captain America were just so awesome to watch. I like this moment when Ironman opens up like a generator from his nano-tech armor and told Thor to boost it up using his electricity and when the electricity goes into that generator it generated a semi-proton blast. It kinda reminded me when Thor and Ironman got into a fight during the first AVENGERS movie and it kinda recharged Tony's armor. It was really a nice callback again from that specific scene. And then when this shot comes. This specific shot when Thor is almost pinned down by Thanos and then the moment the Mjolnir slowly lifts into the air, who could be the one who is worthy enough to lift the Mjolnir? It's CAPTAIN FREAKING AMERICA! That to me speaks volume and it was just so so so EPIC seeing Captain America finally able to lift up the Mjolnir. Not only that, he could also conjured the lightnings coming from the hammer. It was really a nice combo from him using the shield and the hammer together when he battled Thanos. This moment was teased during the events of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON in which they were in a party having some discussion and a betting game on who could be able to lift Thor's hammer. When Steve slowly positions himself and tried to pick-up the hammer, he kind-off budged it and you could tell from Thor's expression from that scene that he was really worried that he was able to lift it slightly.

It gave me hope that for a slightest chance that our beloved heroes could almost defeat Thanos but the past Thanos was just simply too strong. This version of Thanos was a warmonger and really a dangerous version of Thanos compared to what we have in Infinity War. He really wanted to kill them all and didn't hold back from his attacks and the moment when he said that he's going to snap and kill all the universe until its smallest atom, he was really on business. He broke Captain America shield's in half just like what we have seen from Tony's vision from Age of Ultron. Then right after that, he summoned all his minions together with his Black Order commanders and some Chitauri dogs and soldiers and some space alien giants. I said to myself, this is it. This is where Captain America is going to die. I was unsure what will be the next move that Captain America is gonna do. I even thought that maybe their past versions of themselves will come and help them. When Captain America tightens his grip from his shield, he then heard this familiar voice coming off from the radio "Captain, on your left" which it turns out Sam Wilson and all the dusted people and heroes were brought back to life and from there I really lost it. Again, this was a nice callback from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER when Captain said "On your left" to Sam Wilson during their first meeting from a morning run. When all our fallen heroes started to appear through Doctor Strange portal, Spiderman, the Guardians of the Galaxy, The Wasp, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Shuri, Okoye and so many characters that were reverted back from the snap. It was just a pure awesome and epic moment that my feeling from watching it couldn't hold back my tears of how happy I was. I really didn't expect that at all. I completely forgot that moment when Hulk have undo the snap and when Thanos attack the HQ, my focused shift to that and I didn't remember about the snap. It's something that I have never seen before from the big screen and a huge scale such as this, IT WAS JUST FUCKING AWESOME! I'm not really sure when we could have again this epic moment coming off from a superhero film and I'm so glad that AVENGERS: ENDGAME really exceeded my expectation. Even MORE.
ENDING (READY YOUR TISSUE)

There were other awesome moments coming off from the film. We get to see Captain Marvel back into the fight. I like that she was well used from this film and I really bought that she had other planets to take care off. There was also this moment where all of the girl superheroes comes into a circle to protect Spiderman. That was an epic moment as well and yes we have Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel but it made me realized that we have so many girl superheroes coming from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And then this scene comes, when Doctor Strange put up a hand with a number 1 sign to Tony Stark signing that this is the 1 outcome out of 15million outcomes that they can win. Tony Stark proceeds to Thanos and both of them were trying to get the gauntlet away from each other then Thanos overpowered Tony Stark. He mustered these words "I am inevitable" which the present Thanos said during the first few minutes from the film and when he tried to snap the gauntlet, all we could hear is the sound of the metal coming off from the snap. The stones were gone as he checked it and then the camera switched to Tony with him slowly raising his hand while the stones slowly fixing it into a position and then boom! He got the stone! And along with his last words were a very lovely callback from the first Ironman movie in which he said to the press "I AM IRONMAN" at the ending. The first movie who have started all of this. He then said it again to Thanos, "I AM IRONMAN" then snapped the gauntlet to dust away all the minions of Thanos along the mad titan himself. After this, Ironman couldn't handle the poison coming off right after the snap then slowly his body burns from this poison then this is where the waterworks comes into play. Tony Stark chest reactor light fades away and then dies. He gave off his life in order to save all of the people. We've been introduced to Tony Stark as this billionaire, selfish, which according to Steve Rogers, he's not the type of guy who will cut the wire and sacrifice himself. His character arc was very written very well and I just couldn't think a better ending than this. It was just a very sad moment when all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters pays respect to Tony's funeral. When Happy Hogan ask Morgan Stark what food she wants to eat, she said cheeseburgers. Again, I lost it again. This is the same food that Tony wants to eat right after he escaped from captivity during the first IRONMAN movie.
We also have another conclusion coming off from one of our central characters and that would be Captain America' storyline. Steve was tasked to return back again the stones from the moment it was taken to avoid disruption of the past timeline and when Hulk tried to bring him back, he didn't return at all. What he did is that after he returned back the stones in their original place, he willingly stuck himself from the past goes back to Peggy Carter and marries her and live a normal life. Steve Rogers is already a man out of time as he was stuck on the ice for 70 years and I really like his conclusion that he was able to live the life that he was so longing for. He missed all the amazing things coming off living by a normal life and I was really happy that it ended his story that way. He also get to dance Peggy Carter as what he was promised to her. Sam Wilson was given with the shield so we're gonna see Falcon as Captain America and Bucky during their planned Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Thor on the other hand hitched a ride to the Guardians of the Galaxy so I'm guessing we're gonna see more of Thor now on the Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3.
OVERALL
This movie is a lot to take in. This movie took my breathe away. This movie had me in tears with so much joy and so much sadness. I have never seen a movie, for a Marvel movie, that packs so much emotional punch and also provides my inner geekness with happy and joy. The performances from the film especially from Robert Downey J.R was hands down perfect. The visual effects from this film was exceptionally well done as well especially to that EPIC battle scene at the end. It's a movie with a 10-years of buildup and ENDGAME was worth all the wait. I don't mean to provide any heated sparks for those people who are also a fan of DC but I wish they would have follow the same approach from Marvel. In a time like this, we are so privileged in seeing these types of films that would not have been possible during the early years and it would have been an icing on the cake if DC franchises was able to build this kind of hype during the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. Anyway, I'm still happy that the new DC films have been quite good and I'm looking forward for their next team-up movie.
As for Marvel, this dream franchise would not be possible without the mastermind of it, Kevin Feige. He knows what the fans wants and he just knows how to oversee this kind of franchise. Yes, it's a long years to wait for us to see ENDGAME but as I said, all the hype and all the wait was worth it! Also, the Russo Brothers. They are so good in bringing these type of movies. Their first Marvel movie, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER was exceptionally well done as well and right till ENDGAME, they're constantly bringing higher quality with their products. Also, the writers, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, the film wouldn't have been so good without their high quality screenplay.
However, as much as I love ENDGAME, there were also minimal issues that I found from the film that were like questionable. The pacing seems to be slow but I didn't feel any of that at my first viewing. I was being absorbed by the film that I didn't really feel any issues towards its pacing but then my second viewing of it, this is where I notice that its story from the first hour of the film felt like dragging. Maybe because that I already knew the plot from the second viewing but it's not something that I will identify really a problem of how slow the story progression is. Remember, our heroes were defeated from the INFINITY WAR movie and it really needed that pacing to have a breather and take the moment first. Second issue that I didn't like was how Black Widow's story arc ended. It felt like she was underused on the film and her death was hastily concluded. The Hulk didn't have much "SMASH" moments from the film but I was still okay with it. Some may have issues to Thor's story arc but for me, I think they beautifully played his story from the film. Yes, Thor has becoming this comedic character and not the regal Thor that we knew from the first THOR and AVENGERS movie but I really like his direction of instead of him trying to be someone he's supposed to be but rather being someone that he wants to be. It's something that really affected me the most and they really beautifully added it to his story.
We won't be seeing this kind of a movie for now after AVENGERS: ENDGAME. I am now so excited of what will be the future of the MCU. It's an exciting thought because we have now have the X-men and Fantastic Four returning to the franchise. Will there be any future Avengers movie? This film is sort of a conclusion but I am positive that we will be seeing a new Avengers movie with new characters again.
