AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (O-RVZ MOVIE REVIEW)

It's finally here. The 19th film series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe which was spearheaded 10 years ago with the first Iron Man Movie. This film is a culmination of all the previous MCU Franchise which we first saw Thanos as a cameo part from a post-credits of 2012's The Avengers. Anthony and Joe Russo or collectively known as The Russo Bros returns to the directing chair and lead the film with their creativity and talents. If these 2 names sound familiar, it's because they also directed previous great MCU films such as Captain America The Winter Soldier & Civil War which by far the two of my most favorite MCU films.

I gotta hand it to the directors and the staff for concocting the story plot of this film. With this kind of a large scale and numerous characters, it's an impossible feat to achieve of blending the characters to the story so well without feeling that there's something missing. This time, Marvel truly has up their ante. The stakes are higher and you could feel that these characters are not safe. Just the spectacle of it, it's beyond my imagination and it's so visually striking to watch. Josh Brolin who played Thanos perfectly embodies his traits as a menace, power-hungry, bad-ass mad Titan and his performance all throughout of this film is just so captivating. The sequences of this film leading to its main plot were properly transitioned without it being rushed or forced. We get to hear again the epic Avenger's soundtrack which served as an icing on the cake. Granted, it's not a near perfect film and with this huge scale, you are really bound to have some lapses. These lapses mostly involved with some of the character's progression or use. Probably because I've set a big expectation from them and ultimately end up not getting that expectation based on what I saw. It's more of a personal view and for sure it will have a different effect on you but the thing is, it's not such a big deal that it lessens your enjoyment of the film.

OVERALL

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is a great follow-up to Black Panther and a solid line-up of all MCU films. It has a huge scale supported by a good storyline and with many talented casts. I felt nervously watching this film knowing that any of these beloved characters will certainly kick the bucket. It's aesthetically pleasing for both visual effects and audios (scores & soundtracks) thankfully to its usage of IMAX cameras. If you're a Marvel fan or a normal movie fan, you really have to watch this film to know the direction to where MCU is headed. It's different from what we've seen and truly a jaw-dropping experience. I left the cinema theater in awe, shocked and confused about what has happened but I will definitely be looking forward to its direction headed to.
