Bohemian Rhapsody is a biographical drama film named after one of their famous hit song "Bohemian Rhapsody" which tells the story about the famous rock band "Queen" and also focuses on the personal story of its legendary lead singer Mr. Freddie Mercury. The film is directed by Bryan Singer which then replaced by Dexter Fletcher near the end of principal photography. The film stars Rami Malek playing the late legendary Freddie Mercury with Lucy Boynton playing as Mary Austin, Freddie's girlfriend along with Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, and Joseph Mazzello as the Queen's band members.
I gotta give it to Rami Malek for giving off an authentic and charismatic performance portraying Freddie Mercury. Because of his performance, it felt that I was watching the real Freddie Mercury and through the talented Rami Malek, he had given me a chance to know more about the legendary singer. All the quips, the movements, and the accent. It was all masterfully done by him and it was a surreal feeling for me seeing him. Personally, I have only seen interviews of Freddie Mercury and some live performances and I could really say that the embodiment of Freddie Mercury really flows through him. It's such a feat and with that, he definitely deserves to be nominated in the next year's Oscar ceremony, He may be a legendary singer to our eyes but this film dig deep into his most personal life and ventured more of his vulnerability as a human being. He was at that time popular and on the verge of his success but like any of us, he can be a struggled and lonely human being and this film truly humanized him. The film may be centered around the life of Freddie Mercury but this is also the band story as well. It showed us some of the early adventures of the Queen along with the making of some of the hit songs. I was kinda surprised to discover some of the techniques used when making some of those famous songs and I may not know if there were really real or not but it was entertaining to see. The film also shows some dynamics between the band members as well which I really loved the most. The hardships that they had encountered through their beginnings, their arguments, and the awesome performances with their live touring, it just really shows that this is not only a Freddie Mercury film but also a Queen film. Throughout the film, you will truly be singing to some of their popular songs and If I was accidentally seated by you. My friend, you can go shout-out the lyrics if you want to cause I would gladly be doing that too. The scene showing the Live Aid concert was just really really good and epic and I felt goosebumps watching Queen performing and the massive crowds jamming along with it. I truly envied those guys who were present at that time of that concert because Queen especially Freddie just gave the most memorable live-performance of all time.

OVERALL
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is a film that I really love. Despite the negative reviews you might have heard or read, I definitely had a wonderful time watching this film. It is a sad yet epic film that not only centered around the tragic story of Freddie Mercury but also the epic run of the rock band Queen. This film truly shows that anyone can become a Legend like Freddie Mercury/Queen despite being left-out or bullied due to some weird facial appearances or to your sexual orientation. He may not be the perfect model to follow but he's just as human as the rest of us that also makes mistakes which this film truly humanizes him.
