Polar is one of the newest movies from Netflix Originals and is an action thriller movie based on a comic series of the same name and is directed by Jonas Åkerlund. The movie stars Mads Mikkelsen, Vanessa Hudgens, and Katheryn Winnick and the plot follows of an old and retired assassin Duncan (Mads Mikkelsen) who has been commanded to be killed by the head of the company that he has been working for and has been hunted by a group of young assassins working on that same company.
This movie is very stylish and is quite evident at the start of this movie. The way it's edited and how the way it transitions to other scenes are the first things that you would quickly recognize. I liked the introduction of the younger assassins. It kinda reminds me of how characters from a comics or anime are usually being introduced with stylized text showing up their names on the screen. The movie is kinda like a John Wick film that tells about the life of a retired assassin that is just trying to move on with his life. Much like John Wick, it is a bloody and gory movie in which all of the killing scenes were just so cringy and gut-wrenching to watch. There are some heavy nudity scenes from the movie so I really can't recommend this movie to watch with your kids that aren't eighteen yet. I can't say anything bad about the film because I like the story of it and the editing of this movie. It's a fast-paced movie that fits really well with the action vibe of it. However, it's not that really on the level of John Wick that is groundbreaking and memorable. It's an okay for me at least.

OVERALL
POLAR is a fast-paced film. I like how they edited this movie. Mads Mikkelsen was a bad-ass on this one and he really nails all the action sequences that this movie demands. The movie is full of gores, sex, and nudity so if you're that kind of a person that doesn't like seeing blood and guts all over then you may have to pass this one.
