Blockers is a sex-teen-comedy film that starred John Cena, Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz. Being the overprotective parents, they are trying to block their daughter's plan when they accidentally discovered their daughters' plan of loosing their virginity at Prom-Night. This film reminds me of the first American Pie film with a bit smarter script and emotional touches. This film isn't that bad. It actually has a very good story and so many enjoyable moments. This is still an R-rated film filled with raunchy jokes and obscene scenes and yet it feels like a wholesome film telling a good and touching story between the parents and the daughters. The casts were not so star-studded but they had a chemistry. I was skeptical at John Cena on this film but I was surprised, he stole this movie. I've been seeing these EX-WWE superstars-turned actors who are quite good at being comedic much like The Rock and Batista. I can dig him in a few more comedies cause he was really damn funny in this one. The girls playing the daughters were also good as well. They may be new into this industry but I can tell that any of these 3 girls would surely have a hugely successful career in Hollywood.

OVERALL
BLOCKERS is pretty much an enjoyable film. I didn't expect that to happen as I didn't like the trailers that I have watched. It's a fresh new take of the genre with a surprisingly smart and funny script filled with enjoyable and laughable moments and emotional scenes. This also showcased more of John Cena's comedic talent which I hope to see more in the future. It's not a perfect movie and it has its flaws but I can say that this film is a YES for me.
