Bumblebee is a sci-fi, action, fantasy film which story revolves around one of the central characters from the Transformers film franchise named Bumblebee. This film serves as the prequel of the 2007's Transformer film and the story is set in the year1987 in which Bumblebee first visited Earth. The film is directed by Travis Knight who also directed "Kubo and the Two Strings" and stars Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena with the original voice actor of Optimus Prime "Peter Cullen" returning.
Are they even going to release a good Transformers film? Every time a new sequel gets a release, each one of these films just turns out to be a shitty film that is only focused with tTfheir visual effects and explosions and not much with the story. Thankfully though, they have broken that trend and have indeed released this beautiful film that tells about a story of this ever beloved character "Bumblebee" as he forms a bond on this human from Earth named Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld). They made a good choice of going back with their storyline. Ever since the 2007 Transformers film came out, they never really explain the story of what has happened before the events from the 2007 Transformers film. This film focused on that backstory which only made it wonderful because of the fun adventures and a beautiful relationship between Bumblebee and Charlie. What I liked about this film is that they really focused on the story between these 2 characters while maintaining the bigger plot about the war between the Decepticons and Autobots. The story is very sweet and really an emotional one involving with Charlie due to her past events. Her character's arc was simply the best one out of all the human characters involved from this franchise. Bumblebee is still the fun, innocent, lovable machine that we all know of and he was just badass once he goes into serious mode. I also liked Jack Burns (John Cena) arc. John Cena and his comedic timings were one of the enjoyable parts from this film as well. The visual effects were still great and the action sequences were organized really well that didn't feel so clunky and distracting. I also would like to praise the performances of Hailee Steinfeld. Her performances on this film really elevated the emotional feels. I would say that her character was the heart of this film while Bumblebee serves as the soul of it.

OVERALL
BUMBLEBEE is a good and enjoyable film which plot directly connects to the original Transformers film. The pacing was okay and I didn't feel any slow progression on its storyline. I liked the human story involved with it and the relationship between Charlie and Bumblebee was sweet, emotional and heartwarming. The action sequences were great and organized that you could actually see what's happening around it. For a Transformers film, there aren't so many robot characters involved with it but I liked that they kept it lesser since its overall story doesn't really need that many characters.
