Ryan Reynolds returns to play "The Merc with a Mouth" Wade Wilson aka Deadpool in this sequel from Deadpool 2016. The first Deadpool film was a huge box office hit that a sequel of it was already expected. All casts from the first Deadpool movie returns to this sequel with additional faces from Josh Brolin (who also played Thanos from Avengers Infinity War") as Cable, a time traveler cyborg-enhanced soldier from the Future and Zazie Beetz as Domino, one of the founding members of X-Force whose superpowers was Luck.

It's hard not to laugh at this film. It's still basically like the first Deadpool film, lots of quips, jokes, and fourth-breaking walls, lots of awesome action sequences and so many gory scenes. The sequel, however, has a wide scope now in terms of storytelling compared to the first film. What made the first Deadpool film such a huge success was not because of "ala-Avengers" type of story kinda thing. It was not because of its huge budget of CGIs either. It was because of Deadpool himself and how Ryan Reynolds performed that character so well. I truly enjoyed watching this film. Was it better than the first film? Hmm no. I enjoyed more watching the first film than this sequel. Maybe because the first Deadpool has lesser scope in terms of the storyline and I just don't see Deadpool working with lots of heroes in his own solo film. Maybe 1 or 2 additional heroes as long as it doesn't affect Deadpool screentime. As much as possible, I want Deadpool to be the only one in it just killing bad guys and throwing jokes. In spite of that, Deadpool 2 is still a funnier and enjoyable film. Cable was such a bad-ass in this film as well. Josh Brolin who's had a wonderful summer playing Thanos and Cable. I mean the dude can literally play some bad-ass characters CGI or not.

OVERALL
DEADPOOL 2 is fun, wild, lots of unexpected moments and so many surprises. Deadpool 2 works because of Deadpool. I could think that any Deadpool film could work with a mediocre storyline and underdeveloped characters as long as Deadpool character is properly written. If they're planning to greenlit a Deadpool 3, I would really want to have it on a small scale and not so heroes involved this time. I know they're setting up something bigger (hint: X-FORCE) but they can have it as a separate film and not in a Deadpool film/sequel.
