I Think We're Alone Now is a drama sci-fi movie directed by Reed Morano and stars Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning in the lead role. The story follows in a post-apocalyptic town where people are mysteriously being killed by an unknown event and Del (Peter Dinklage) who is the only survivor visits one house at a time to clean up the remains of those dead people.
The movie starts off Peter Dinklage's character roaming around the town clearing up houses with dead people. We then instantly know that this was his daily routine after the unexplained event that wiped out the entire human population. Up to this point, I felt that the plot of the movie was going nowhere since I was just seeing his day to day routine of clearing up houses and no actual plot development of the story, not even a background of the event. Fortunately, the story moved a little when we get to see Grace (Elle Fanning) and provide this question of the movie, are there other survivors besides Del and Grace? It's a slow burn kind of a movie and the first half of the film is just basically showing Del and Grace doing the day to day routine of clearing up houses. There are bits and pieces showing some background between the 2 characters but the story just felt stagnant. The second half of the film offered some intriguing aspect of the storyline. Thankfully though, this part now moved the storyline offering us a bit more. The movie did have some good performances from the 2 characters. Peter plays his character with mysteriousness vibe and Elle plays her character with so much energy yet somehow contained a bit of a troubled experienced.

OVERALL
I THINK WE'RE ALONE NOW is a movie that offers a unique and intriguing plotline told in a very slow development. Some parts of it were boring and felt the story being stuck till the second half of the movie. This is not the type of Sci-Fi movie with groundbreaking visual effects. It just tells a story of these characters overcoming their traumatic pasts which I liked. I'm more into seeing characters and how they developed which this movie absolutely have. If you're not into that kind of a movie, then you would not truly appreciate this.
