It’s a thriller-detective film based on a book of the same name. The plot surrounds Hercule Poirot the so-called “The Greatest Detective in the world” with other strangers inside the famous orient express train tries to solve a mystery case where one of the passengers has been murdered.
This film is a star-studded cast having the likes of Johnny Depp and Daisy Ridley and so many A-list actors. My first impression of the film is it was shot beautifully. The first scene introduces us to Hercule (played by Kenneth Branagh) whom widely known as "The Greatest Detective". His funny and comedic performances really sold the film for me. He also directed this film so it's quite a big of a task to star and direct a film such as this that are star studded. The casts alone might have already sold you to watching this film however, the overall storyline didn't left much an impression to me. It's fun guessing who is the killer but along the way, you kinda get a lost about the direction of the film. There were some awkward transitioning from the scenes that kinda left me confused. Due to the number of characters included on this film, you really kinda get lost with their own backstory and at the last part when the film reveals its secret, it wasn't much big of an impact.

OVERALL
MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS is an enjoyable film to watch partly because of the comedic performances of Kenneth Branagh. I got bored at the half-way of the film because of the things that I have mentioned above, I’d still recommend it for you to watch for its casts and its amazing cinematography.
