The Spy Who Dumped Me is an action-comedy movie starring Mila Kunis , Kate McKinnon, Sam Heughan and Justin Theroux. This is directed by Susanna Fogel and the story follows of a woman named Audrey (Mila Kunis) who dated a CIA Agent named Drew played (Justin Theroux). She got caught up with the whole spy situation when she discovered that her boyfriend was a spy and got killed from an assailant and must continue the mission of his boyfriend. Together with her best friend Morgan (Kate McKinnon), they must venture into the whole new world of being a Spy.
Action wise, this movie did have some fairly good action sequences. It is also graphic and violent in which you could literally see a guy being shot in the head point blank and their blood is splattering all over the screen. To think that this movie is heavily sold as a comedy, I expected this to be a toned down version of the likes of Mission Impossible. Going back to the action sequences, there were some good scenes from it. The opening scene, the car chase scene, and even the fighting sequences were choreographed well. However, I didn't enjoy the movie as much as I hoped for. The comedy side, I didn't enjoy some of the jokes. Some of them never really landed into me and just flat out not funny. I didn't even feel enough the presence of Mila Kunis. She is indeed a talented actor and I want her to be involved with more dramatic roles rather than comedic roles which she currently is into. This movie was barely saved from Kate McKinnon's funny performances. Although, there are times that I just find her character annoying. In terms of the story, it was just a generic story which we basically see from all of these spy-centric films. I was expecting that this movie would have done something to be differentiated from the other spy films, but the end results were just mediocre.

OVERALL
THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME is not a good movie but not the worst kind. There were good moments from the movie in terms of the action sequences and funny performances from Kate. I just didn't like the execution of the story and some moments which were definitely cliché which I have seen from other spy movies. I had hoped for something different from it but the end results didn't do enough for me to care.
