Midnight Sun, a romantic-drama film about a girl named Katie Price who has a genetic rare disease "XP" in which prevents her from going out to broad daylight. She then meets and date a boy named "Charlie" and struggled between telling him the truth about her disease or just continue to pretend to live a normal life. It's hard to criticize a movie if it's a Rom-Com movie. Some people love it even though it is plainly bad and some people may hate it for its obvious reasons. I, on the other hand, hated this movie for 2 simple reasons. First, why cast a boring male lead actor into a romantic-DRAMA film. Patrick Schwarzenegger who plays "Charlie" on this film is the eldest son of the iconic actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was just so boring, awkward, uncharismatic, shitty actor that sometimes cringes you when he's doing some dramatic scenes. Thankfully enough, Bella Throne's performance as "Katie" managed to take up the DRAMATIC side of the film but he was just really bad in this movie. The second reason why I hated this film is the ending. It supposed to be tear-jerker moment but it wasn't actually. I hated it and it reminded me of another movie which I won't going to say the title to avoid a hint of a spoiler from the movie ending .

OVERALL

MIDNIGHT SUN is just downright a shitty movie. Seriously though, I've seen so many shitty films in my entire life but I've never expressed this so much hatred towards a movie. Maybe it's because of a cheesy storyline? Maybe it's because of that bad ending? Maybe because of Patrick Schwarzenegger being a shitty actor? It's a combination of those things and I will say that this movie deserves a BIG SUNSHINE of a "NO". Save your tissues, save your tears. This movie is not worth it.
