Hotel Artemis is an action-thriller movie that follows a storyline about a nurse who runs a secret hospital that heals injured criminals. This movie has some serious good casts starting from Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Dave Batista and many more. This is written and directed by Drew Pearce as his directorial debut who also responsible for writing the story of Iron Man 3 and Mission Impossible - A Rouge Nation. I praise the premise of this movie. It's certainly something genuine and has that thrilling feeling that you will feel although-out of it. It has some amazing performances from the casts as well. They were strong performances and I genuinely felt invested in each of their character's arc. The female character played by Sofia Boutella was a bad-ass. Yes, she has played multiple bad-ass characters like the one she has played in the first Kingsman and The Mummy Return but this one was quite different than the others and I liked how it was played out. Jodie Foster as The Nurse was one of the best as well. She was great portraying a grieving and struggled nurse that truly shows her amazing acting range even though she's been in hiatus for 5-years. The bad side of the film was some parts of it were predictable and anticlimactic. I did not like the direction that they have done from certain characters. I was hoping for a different path and expecting it to be bloody but then again, that is not that kind of a movie. I guess, they were trying to convey a message that amidst the chaos and war, there is still a little bit of hope waiting to happen at the middle of it which is the reason why I liked this movie.

OVERALL

HOTEL ARTEMIS felt thrilling and intense at times. Some parts were a bit anticlimactic and also predictable. I liked the characters in this movie. It felt like all of them played an integral part of moving the storyline. It had my attention of the whole movie and didn't felt any boredom of it. This movie may not be for everybody but it was still a damn good movie to me.
