It’s a biographical drama film based on the early life of Charles Dickens and the making of one of his famous novels “A Christmas Carol”. It starred Dan Stevens (Beauty & The Beast, The Guest) as Charles Dickens and Christopher Plummer (All The Money In The World) as Ebenezer Scrooge. It’s a very colorful film with a very bright production set. It sets in some place of London around 1800s and everything from the costumes, streets, and houses were pleasing to see. The story of the film revolved mostly around Charles Dickens’ life and also mixed with some elements of the original story of the book. It blended perfectly and worked really well as a whole new movie. I just recently watched the movie “All the money in the world” where it starred Christopher Plummer and he really does a good job of portraying a grumpy old man. Dan Stevens whom you might known for his work as Beast in Beauty & The Beast, he was such a great performer of an actor that I could see him play any complex characters.
